2. Quiz Information
Title
Enter a name to help teachers and students easily identify the quiz, for example: Midterm Math Exam – Class 10A.
Note:
- The title should be concise but clearly indicate the subject, content, or exam period.
- Avoid naming multiple quizzes with the same name.
- You can add the class name or the scheduled time for easier searching.
Description
Use the description section to provide instructions before students begin, including:
- Content and scope of knowledge.
- Time limit.
- Number of questions and total points.
- Submission rules.
- Allowed materials or devices.
- Requirements for proctoring, recording, or screen sharing.
Note: Clearly announce proctoring regulations and device requirements so students can prepare before starting.
3. Audience Settings
Public
When Public is enabled, anyone with the link can access the quiz.
Teachers can select Share to copy and send the link to participants.
Suitable when:
- Organizing surveys or open quizzes.
- Participants are not yet in a class on Ninequiz.
- Need to share the quiz via email, message, or other platforms.
Note:
- Public mode should not be used for quizzes containing private content.
- If you need to identify test-takers, enable the information collection form.
- Double-check the link and access time before sending.
By Class
When not deployed publicly, teachers can select one or more classes. Only students in the specified classes are allowed to participate.
Once the quiz is published, the system will display the quiz and send notifications to students in the selected classes.
Note: Check the class list and members before publishing to avoid omissions or sending to the wrong audience.
4. Time Settings
Time Limit
This is the maximum duration starting from when the student confirms to begin the quiz. The system will display a countdown timer throughout the process.
Example: If the time limit is 45 minutes and the student starts at 09:10, the expected end time is 09:55.
If you do not want to limit the duration, the teacher can disable this setting.
Note:
- Set a time limit appropriate for the number and difficulty of the questions.
- Allow extra time for reading instructions, uploading files, or handling connection issues.
- Inform students in advance about the submission mechanism when time runs out.
- For quizzes with audio or video files, include time for loading and playing content.
Access Time Limit
Set the time range during which the quiz is open to students. Students can only access or start the quiz within the specified time.
Example: If the quiz is published at 08:00 but the access time starts at 10:00, students must wait until 10:00 to begin.
Note:
- Clearly distinguish between access time and time limit.
- Access time should be long enough for students to log in and handle initial issues.
- Check the correct date, time, and time zone before publishing.
- When using both time settings simultaneously, ensure the access window is compatible with the quiz duration.
5. Review and Publish
Before deployment, teachers should check:
- Title and description.
- Audience or participating classes.
- Time limit and access time.
- Number of submissions.
- Total points and points per question.
- Correct answers for multiple-choice questions.
- Result display timing.
- Recording, screen sharing requirements, and device limits.
- Quiz interface on both computer and mobile.
