Quick Quiz is a game-style interactive question format. Players answer questions one by one, instead of viewing the entire test on a single page like a regular exam.
Quick Quiz is suitable for the following activities:
- Warm-up before class.
- Review and consolidate knowledge.
- Quizzes or classroom competitions.
- Quickly check comprehension levels.
- Organize continuous answer challenges.
After publishing, teachers can share the link or QR code for players to join. Results are saved in the Submissions section and summarized in the Statistics section.
1. Create a new Quick Quiz
- Access app.ninequiz.com and log in.
- Select Quick Quiz on the menu bar.
- Click on Create Quick Quiz.

Ninequiz automatically saves content during the editing process. The Saved status is displayed at the top of the interface.
2. Set up Quiz title
The title helps teachers and players identify the topic of the Quick Quiz.
Example:
- Quick Quiz – Grade 10 Math Review.
- History knowledge quiz.
- English vocabulary challenge.
- Lesson warm-up – The Solar System.
Note:
- The title should be concise, clear, and relevant to the topic.
- Avoid creating multiple Quick Quizzes with the same name.
- You can add the class name, chapter, or event time.
- If used for competitive activities, choose an engaging and memorable name.
3. Select quiz interface
The Quiz Interface section allows teachers to choose the display style of the Quick Quiz.
The interface can affect:
- Colors and background images.
- How questions appear.
- The player's interactive experience.
- The atmosphere of the quiz or competition activity.
Note:
- Choose an interface suitable for the age group and content.
- Prioritize readable colors with good contrast.
- Check the interface on both computers and mobile phones.
- Avoid choosing interfaces with too many details that cause distraction.
4. Set up Form before taking the quiz
Enable the Information Collection Form if you need to require players to provide information before starting.
Teachers can collect:
- Full name.
- Email.
- Phone number.
- Student ID.
- Class or unit.
- Other additional information.
How to set up
- Enable Information Collection Form.
- Enter the field name in the Display Label box.
- Select the appropriate data type.
- Enable Required if players must enter the information.
- Select Add Field to add other content.
Note:
- It is recommended to enable the Form when sharing Quick Quiz publicly via link or QR code.
- Only collect information that is truly necessary.
- Do not request passwords, financial information, or sensitive data.
- Name the fields clearly so players do not enter incorrect information.
5. Set up Sudden Death mode
Sudden Death is a challenge mode where the game can end when a player answers incorrectly. This mode is suitable for knockout activities or requiring consecutive correct answers.
Maximum skips
The Maximum skips field specifies the number of questions a player is allowed to skip in one turn.
Example:
- Enter 0: Players cannot skip any questions.
- Enter 1: Players can skip a maximum of one question.
- Enter 3: Players can skip a maximum of three questions.
Suitable when
- Organizing consecutive correct answer challenges.
- Knowledge competitions in a knockout format.
- Wanting to create a sense of suspense and competition.
- Needing to limit skipping difficult questions.
Note
- Sudden Death rules should be announced to players in advance.
- Double-check answers because a setup error could end a turn unintentionally.
- Avoid using ambiguous questions or those with multiple reasonable answers.
- If the number of skips is set to 0, players must answer each question in order.
- Questions should be arranged from easy to difficult for a more balanced gaming experience.
6. Time limit
Enable Time limit to specify the duration players are allowed to answer. Ninequiz supports two ways of timing.
Time per question
Each question has its own answering time.
Example: If set to 30 seconds, players have a maximum of 30 seconds to answer each question.
Suitable for:
- Games requiring quick reflexes.
- Short, easy-to-read questions.
- Fast-paced competition activities.
- Quick Quizzes with questions of relatively equal difficulty.
Note:
- Do not set the time too short for questions with images, calculations, or long content.
- Include time for reading the question and options.
- When a question's time runs out, the system will process it according to the Quick Quiz rules.
- If Sudden Death is enabled, check how timed-out questions affect the turn.
Total time
Players have a total duration to complete the entire Quick Quiz.
Example: Setting 15 minutes for 20 questions means players allocate 15 minutes themselves to answer all questions.
Suitable for:
- Questions with different lengths or difficulty levels.
- Wanting players to manage their time proactively.
- No need for individual limits for each question.
- Review activities or comprehensive tests.
Note:
- The total time should be appropriate for the number of questions.
- When time is up, the system may end and record the current results.
- Clearly announce the duration before players start.
- Check the loading speed of images, audio, or video when timing.
7. Access schedule
The Access schedule specifies the period during which the Quick Quiz is open. Players can only start within the set time.
Start time
The time when the Quick Quiz officially allows players to access.
If players open the link before this time, they must wait until the schedule starts.
End time
The time when the Quick Quiz stops accepting new turns or ends access rights according to system regulations.
Example
Quick Quiz has:
- Start time: 04/07/2026 at 13:25.
- End time: 05/07/2026 at 13:25.
Players can only participate during the above period.
Note
- The end time must be after the start time.
- Check the correct date, time, and time zone before publishing.
- Access should be opened a few minutes before the event time.
- Do not set the end time too close if players might encounter connection issues.
- Distinguish Access schedule from Time limit: the access schedule specifies when the Quick Quiz is open, while the time limit specifies the duration of each turn.
