The Shuffle questions feature in Advanced settings allows changing the order of questions or answer options in each play.
How to set up
- Open the Quick Quiz you are editing.
- Open Advanced settings.
- Find the Shuffle questions section.
- Select one of the three modes.
- Review the Quiz before publishing.
1. None (Default)
Questions and answer options are displayed exactly in the order arranged by the teacher.
Suitable when:
- Questions are arranged from easy to difficult.
- Questions have related content.
- Subsequent questions depend on data from previous ones.
- The teacher wants all players to have the same experience.
Note: This is the default mode and does not create any difference in order between plays.
2. Questions only
The system shuffles the question order but keeps the position of answer options within each question.
Suitable when:
- Questions are independent of each other.
- You want each play to have a different question order.
- You need to limit players from discussing based on question numbers.
- Answer options need to stay in their positions.
Note: Do not use if the questions have a specific content sequence or increasing difficulty design.
3. Questions & Answers
The system shuffles both the question order and the order of answer options.
Suitable when:
- Organizing a Quiz for many people at the same time.
- You want to increase the variation between plays.
- You need to limit the sharing of answer positions.
- Questions and options are completely independent.
Note:
- Do not use options like “All of the above”, “Both A and B” or content that depends on position.
- Carefully check the correct answers before publishing.
- Options must have independent meaning when the order is changed.
- For drag-and-drop, word ordering, or special question types, preview to check how the system applies shuffling.
Recommendations
- Select None if the Quiz is designed in a sequence.
- Select Questions only if you want to change the question order but keep the options as they are.
- Select Questions & Answers if you need the highest level of shuffling.
- You should perform multiple previews to ensure the content remains accurate after shuffling.
