What you can draw for math

The tool understands figures as constructions — the way you would build them with ruler and compass — so the drawing is mathematically correct, not just visually similar.

Triangles and their special lines

Triangles from three sides, two sides and an angle, right, isosceles or equilateral. Altitudes, medians, bisectors, perpendicular bisectors. Orthocenter, centroid, incenter and circumcenter computed from the three vertices.

Circles and tangents

Circles by center and radius, through three points or by diameter. Tangents from an external point with the tangent points found for you. Common chords of two circles, cyclic quadrilaterals, inscribed angles.

Quadrilaterals and polygons

Rectangles, squares, parallelograms, rhombuses, trapezoids and regular polygons inscribed in a circle. Diagonals, trapezoid heights, tick marks for equal sides and arrows for parallel sides.

Marks and measurements

Right-angle marks, single, double and triple angle arcs, equal-length ticks on sides, angle measures that update as you drag, side lengths written beside segments, dimension lines with arrows at both ends.

3D solids

Pyramids with a lateral edge perpendicular to the base or regular pyramids, cuboids, prisms, cylinders, cones and spheres. Hidden edges switch to dashed automatically. Vertices are real points, so you can add diagonals, midpoints and intersections inside the solid.

Function graphs

Axes with tick marks; parabolas, lines, cubics, sine curves, hyperbolas and exponentials. Points on a graph, intersections of two graphs, extrema, tangents at a point, shaded area under a curve, dashed drop lines to the axes.

How to draw math figures in AI mode

Simple mode has a single description box. You do not need to know construction names or coordinates — just write the problem as it appears in the textbook.

  1. Open the tool on the Geometry, 3D Solids or Function Graph tab

    The three tabs work the same way and differ only in the set of figures. Geometry is for construction and proof problems, 3D Solids for pyramids, prisms and solids of revolution, Graphs for functions.

    TipAI only uses the constructions of the current tab, so picking the right tab makes the figure more accurate.
  2. Type the full problem with its data

    For example: Triangle ABC right-angled at A, AB = 4 cm, AC = 3 cm, draw the altitude AH. With measurements the tool draws to scale and labels the figure; without them it picks pleasing proportions.

    TipName the points in the problem, in capitals as in textbooks, so the labels match your solution.
  3. Click Draw and check the result

    A few seconds later the figure appears on a gridded sheet where each cell is 1 cm. The small line under the AI box tells you what the tool sees: how many points, segments, marks and measurements.

    TipIf AI misread one detail, do not retype everything — fix just that detail in the next step.
  4. Edit with short commands or suggestion chips

    The AI box understands the current figure. Type Change AB to 8 cm, Add the median from A, Mark angle B as 60 degrees, Hide the label of H. The chips above the box are generated from the current figure — click one to fill it in.

    TipEdit commands keep the existing points and only add or change what you mention, so names and layout stay stable.
  5. Adjust directly with the mouse

    Drag points to reshape, drag labels when text overlaps, click a side to add its length, click a triangle to make it right or isosceles. Switch to Advanced mode for the layers panel, drag-and-drop library and detailed properties.

    TipHold Ctrl and scroll to zoom, drag the background to pan, and use Fit to bring the whole figure into view.
  6. Copy into Word or export a file

    Copy figure gives a sharp image you can paste straight into an exam. The Export menu offers high-resolution PNG, transparent PNG for slides and SVG for Word and PowerPoint. Name the figure and pick a background in the same panel before exporting.

    TipFor printed exams use SVG or 3x PNG so thin lines stay crisp.

Editing and exporting

Drag vertex B and the altitude AH stays perpendicular to BC, midpoint M stays in the middle, a right triangle stays right. The tool stores constructions, not strokes, so you can edit freely without breaking the mathematics.

Copy figure puts an image on the clipboard for Word, PowerPoint or Google Docs. Export SVG for crisp printing — one grid cell equals 1 cm, so printed measurements are exact. Transparent PNG for slides.

Frequently asked questions

Is this math diagram maker free?

Yes. Drawing, editing, copying and exporting are free with no sign-up. The AI part has a daily limit per anonymous user to prevent abuse; manual drawing and editing are unlimited.

Do the figures meet exam standards?

Figures use thin black lines, italic point labels, right-angle marks, equal-length ticks and measurements placed beside segments, following textbook conventions. Printed in centimeters, one grid cell equals 1 cm, so the figure matches a ruler.

What if AI draws it wrong?

Fix just the wrong part with a short command such as Change BC to 8 cm or Add altitude AH, or drag the point directly. AI understands the current figure, so edits do not lose what is already correct. You can also build manually from the library in Advanced mode.

Can it draw 3D solids with hidden edges?

Yes. Pyramids, cuboids, prisms, cylinders, cones and spheres are drawn in oblique projection and hidden edges become dashed automatically. Vertices are real points, so you can add diagonals, midpoints and intersections inside the solid just like in plane geometry.

Will it look blurry in Word?

Copy figure produces an image at twice screen resolution, sharp enough to print. For perfectly crisp lines export SVG and insert it into Word or PowerPoint — it scales without pixelation.

Can it plot parametric or piecewise functions?

The tool plots expressions in x using the usual elementary functions — polynomials, rational functions, roots, trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic — with a domain. Piecewise functions are plotted branch by branch, each with its own x-range.
