Provide a passage and ask learners to judge statements using that passage. They should find the information in the text, not guess from outside knowledge.

The answer depends on personal opinion or missing information. If you need to know why learners chose an answer, add short-answer questions that ask for an explanation and prepare criteria for the person grading them.

An individual statement has True and False choices. The author marks the answer and sets points for that question.

Prepare one clear statement.
Three statements share a library schedule. This example awards 0, 2, 5, or 10 points according to the number answered correctly.
Add a question and prepare the schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.–noon; closed Sunday. Every statement will refer to this information.
Every statement can be checked against the supplied schedule.
Select “Multiple True/False (tiered scoring).” The editor shows an area for statements and a score-tier table for grading the group.

Put the library's schedule in the question and ask learners to judge each statement using it. The hours must be in the source information, not only in the answer choices.

True: 5 ÷ 20 × 100% = 25%.
This tests converting a head count to a percentage. The question provides enough information to determine one answer.
Adapt the total and attendance figures to your lesson. Save reviewed questions in Question Bank under percentages. When reusing them, ask learners to show the calculation if you also want to check their method.

The statements require attention to different days and exceptions. B reveals whether learners confuse Saturday's closing time with the weekday schedule.
Replace the schedule with a short notice from your lesson. For grouped questions, set the tiers and test 0 through 3 correct answers. To check recall of a specific closing time, add a fill-in-the-blank question that asks learners to supply the number.
Sample rule: confirm a completion time only after the responsible team has replied.
A support agent may confirm a completion time before the responsible team replies.

The statement tests a clear condition. Learners should not need to guess policies beyond the information provided.
Use conditions from your organization's approved procedure. After training, review the exam results report to choose questions to discuss again. Where many learners answered incorrectly, recheck the conditions in the wording before judging understanding.
Common issue: One statement contains two claims: one true and one false.
How to fix it: Split them into separate questions or separate statements in a group.

“Yes/No Question” has one statement and one answer. “Multiple True/False (tiered scoring)” contains several statements, individual answer keys, and a score table for the group.
You enter the score tiers yourself. The example uses 0, 2, 5, and 10 points for 0, 1, 2, and 3 correct statements. These values are illustrative; choose the tiers your assessment needs.
Add a “Short Answer” question in Online Exams to collect an explanation for manual grading. True/false choices alone do not reveal why a learner chose an answer.
Use one short sentence, one idea, and all necessary conditions. If the answer still depends on an unstated assumption, add that information or ask the question differently.
Write a clear statement and identify the answer. If several statements share a passage, use the grouped format and check its score tiers.
