Guide to grading and confirming results on NineQuiz

Teachers can open each submission to check answers, grade essay questions, view proctoring data, and confirm the final score.

1. Open submission details

1. Log in to NineQuiz.
2. Select Quizzes.
3. Open the quiz that needs grading.
4. Switch to the Submissions tab.
5. Find the student by name, email, or class.
6. Click on the submission you want to view.

2. Check overview information

The top section of the submission displays:

• Student's full name and email.
• Start time.
• Submission time.
• Total time taken.
• Number of questions answered.
• Number of correct answers.
• Current score or final score.

Note: The current score may be incomplete if the quiz contains essay questions, open-ended answers, or file uploads that have not yet been graded by the teacher.

3. View detailed answers

1. Scroll down to the question list.
2. Check the option or content the student answered.
3. Compare it with the answer key and grading scale.
4. Move to the next question to continue checking.

For multiple-choice questions, NineQuiz will automatically compare answers and calculate scores. The interface may use colors to distinguish between correct answers, incorrect answers, and selected options.

4. Grade essay questions or file uploads

1. Read the answer content or open the file uploaded by the student.
2. Compare it with the requirements and grading scale.
3. Enter the score the student achieved.
4. Mark the result as correct or incorrect if required by the system.
5. Save the question result.

If the student does not answer or the answer completely fails to meet the requirements, the teacher can award 0 points.

5. Confirm final score

1. Check all answers.
2. Complete grading for questions that require manual processing.
3. Check the total score of the quiz.
4. Select Confirm Score or the corresponding confirmation button.
5. Review the notification and complete the process.

After confirmation, the score will be recorded as the final result. The time when students can view the content and score depends on the Results will be displayed setting of the quiz.

6. Update score

If errors are found after confirmation:

1. Reopen the submission.
2. Edit the score of the question that needs updating.
3. Select Update Score or re-confirm the result.
4. Check the total score after the system recalculates.

If the teacher has changed the answer key or the quiz's point value, related submissions must be updated to ensure accurate results.
